Why are we here? Because the part of our lives that led us to this moment still sets our souls on fire and warms our hearts. Because we long for a time when things were made to endure—when the aim was not quick profit, but craftsmanship that lasted for decades. A time when the first instinct was simple and honest: let’s repair it; let’s make it work again.
We are driven by curiosity too. Who were they—Bo Borgström at Åseda, the designers behind Lindshammar, Ystad-Metall, SEA, Orrefors, Kosta Boda, Holmegaard, Ekeby Keramik, Humppila, Kumela, Pukeberg, and all the other makers who shaped the mid‑twentieth century? Bo, did you enjoy your coffee? Were you in love when you designed the lamp I received from someone dear to me?
This is about memory. About resisting fast fashion and disposable design. About hope, nostalgia, and the quiet ache of Fernweh. It’s about carrying a fragment of a designer’s life into our own.
